Q. What are the dimensions of the Rhinobox?
The boxes measure 27 x 17 x12 (L x W x H). This works out to about 2.5 cubic feet.
Q. What is the weight limit of the Rhinobox?
The box can hold over 60 lbs, but we recommend you use the built in handles and don’t lift heavy Rhinoboxes without assistance. A moving dolly is a great way to move the boxes and is supplied with most of our residential packages.
Q. Can I change the drop off and pickup times?
Absolutely! Just give us a call and we will work it out. We are here to make your move easier.
Q. What if I need the boxes longer?
Moving rentals can easily be extended by giving us a call or sending an email.
Q. What if my delivery day happens to be a snow day or extreme weather event?
Communication is key: we want to get your boxes to you as safely as we can. If our drivers can’t get to you then you’ll be contacted to make alternate arrangements. We like to be proactive, so if we see nasty weather coming then you may even get your boxes early at no extra charge.
Q. Do you offer longer term box rental?
We can offer long term rental, which is a great option for students over the summer break or anybody who needs some storage for times such as house renos or interim moves to a smaller space. Rhinoboxes keep your boxes protected in a storage situation much better than cardboard...well, you know how we feel about cardboard!
Q. Can I change my pickup and drop-off dates?
We understand plans change and are always a phone call away if you need to shift your delivery or pickup dates or times.
Q. Where are Rhinoboxes available?
We are a Barrie based company serving all of Simcoe County and as far south as Newmarket and Alliston.. Some areas may be subject to a delivery charge, please check our map on the pricing page to find out more.
Q. How do using Rhinoboxes help the environment? I thought plastic was bad and recycling cardboard was better.
We like recycling, however Reusing is better because it saves the energy that comes with having to dismantle and re-manufacture products. It also significantly reduces waste and pollution because it reduces the need for raw materials, saving both forests and water supplies. Our Rhinoboxes are made from #2 High density polyethylene and can be re-used over 400 times first before they are recycled to make other plastic products. And don’t get us started about the tape required to make cardboard work!
Q.What about bedbugs and viruses?
We clean every Rhinobox thoroughly with environmentally friendly cleaner between moves—bedbugs actually prefer cardboard as they are softer and have more potential to retain moisture.
Q. Do Rhinos make good pets?
Rhinos are territorial animals and can be rather aggressive. They charge when they feel threatened, have horns that can grow to 5 feet long, and can weigh between 4000 and 6000 lbs. So, maybe start with a dog.
